President Andrzej Duda after his Sunday victory in the presidential election received scores of congratulatory message from world leaders.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter on Monday congratulated his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda on his victory in the Sunday presidential runoff vote.
Zelensky published his congratulatory tweet in Polish and Ukrainian, and attached photos with the two heads of state.
"I wish Poland further successes and prosperity under the leadership of President Duda," Zelensky wrote. He also invited the Polish head of state to pay a visit to Ukraine, in order "to further continue fruitful cooperation."
"Being united, we are stronger," he underlined.
Jiri Ovcacek, spokesman for Czech President Milos Zeman congratulated Polish President Andrzej Duda on his victory in the presidential elections and declared that it was good news for the Visegrad Group, among other organisations.
"Long live Poland!" Ovcacek rote on Twitter, on behalf of President Zeman who is currently on holiday.
After publishing the partial results, the Czech spokesman wrote that the victory of Duda was good news for Poland, the Czech Republic and the Visegrad Group. The entry was accompanied by a photo of Presidents Duda and Zeman.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed on Monday his congratulations to President Andrzej Duda on winning the Polish presidential election and posted a Facebook picture of him and Duda with the inscription "Bravo!"
In addition, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto sent congratulations to Duda on Facebook, where he wrote that "the international liberal mainstream has also now tried everything, but the Central European right leads 3-0: Serbia, Croatia, Poland. North Macedonia is getting ready."
Czech PM Andrej Babis congratulating Duda on his re-election stressed that he was looking forward to further cooperation within the Visegrad Group formed by Hungary and Slovakia alongside Poland and the Czech Republic.
Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda congratulating Duda stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence and the development of infrastructure projects.
"I congratulate my friend Andrzej Duda on his re-election in the presidential election," Nauseda wrote on Twitter. He wished the Polish president "endurance and good luck."
Congratulating President Duda on Twitter, US Ambassador to Poland Georgette Mosbacher said that she was looking forward to further strong Polish-American cooperation.
