- The Mooresville Police Department is happy to announce that K9 Smoke and Cpl. Beck have graduated from a 6-week training program as part of Ventosa Kennels Class 1764. Cpl. - Mother Nature was having a tantrum yesterday and it came out in the form of extreme weather in the area, which left many without power. Several trees were downed in the storm and a rare tornado watch was in effect for a portion of the evening. Clean-up efforts are underway today. (WCNC.com)
