- Registration is now open for Buddy Track. The program, which is now in its 10th year of operation is being put on by Deep River Parks and Recreation. According to Zip06.com, "Buddy Track was created as a way to offer track and field events to unique learners ages five and up. The minimum age of the buddy helpers is 14 years old or at least 8th grade. The program runs for three consecutive weeks, meeting on Wednesdays, April 26, and May 3 and 10 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the track at Valley Regional High School, 256 Kelsey Hill Road, Deep River. This non-competitive program will feature six track and field events: including javelin, running relay, shot put, 100-meter run, hurdles and long jump.
