Congratulations to the Rev. Lloyd E. Brockmeyer, who has retired after serving 44 years at St. Paul's UMC. Previously he had served several other churches in Iowa.
During his time at St. Paul's, he served 22 years as Minister of Congregational Care. His gentle spirit, genuine interest and concern for others have endeared him to the many who feel blessed to know him.
A drive-by celebration for the Brockmeyers is planned for Sept. 20 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Second Avenue church entrance. Please join us in a card shower. If mailing, cards can be sent to St. Paul's UMC, 1340 Third Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.
