As the school year draws to a close and students throughout Butte County complete the school year I want to recognize their accomplishments during what has been a most challenging time. Not much about this year has been “normal,” but you have successfully completed the task. Hopefully, this year has made you all the stronger to move forward with your lives.
Recognition must also be given to the parents, teachers and support staff, who like the students, have faced a most challenging school year. Not only have you completed your task, but in doing so have helped hundreds of students succeed. Much of what has been accomplished this year will never be forgotten because the journey was not a well marked trail, but a journey marked with “what’s next” and where do we go from here.
To all of you students and staff alike. “Well done, you have gained the prize.”
