Cardi B fans were pleasantly surprised at this year's BET Awards, when the rapper announced she is expecting her second baby with her husband, Offset.
The 28-year-old revealed the news by showing off her growing bump during a performance with Offset and his group, Migos, at Sunday's BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
The couple are already parents to daughter Kulture Kiari, who turns three in July.
"Cardi B and Offset, giving us life—literally," host Taraji P. Henson joked following the performance and reveal.
Meanwhile, the "Up" hitmaker also took to Instagram to further confirm the news with a stunning photo of her bump covered with what appears to be a plaster cast, along with the caption: "#2! @offsetyrn."
The announcement has sparked a wave of congratulations for the couple, with fans basking in the baby joy on social media.
"Way to announce you're pregnant Cardi B!" tweeted podcaster Jemele Hill.
While journalist Bianca En Rouge tweeted: "WAIT Cardi B popped out pregnant. Her social media break makes so much sense omg #BETAwards."
Shakari S Briggs added: "Cardi B revealing she was pregnant onstage was such a mood! #BETAwards."
Another fan tweeted: "Cardi is really glowing, I'm so happy for her."
While another person, complimenting her BET performance added: "Pregnant Cardi B performed harder than all 3 of the Migos. Wow!!! #BETAwards."
Meanwhile, on Instagram, her sister, Hennessey Carolina, commented: "IMA BE AN AUNTIEEEE AGAINNNNN."
A number of celebrities flocked to the rapper's Instagram to share their congratulations, with DJ Khaled, Chloe Bailey, Lizzo, Lil Nas X and Khloe Kardashian all leaving well wishes.
Offset—whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus—29, has three children from previous relationships and is dad to daughter Kalea, 6, and sons Kody, 6, and Jordan, 11, from previous relationships.
Cardi B's given name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, and she and Cephus got married in September 2017.
The performer had been absent from social media in recent weeks, with fans now assuming it was due to her taking time away from the spotlight while pregnant.
She previously spoke about motherhood after having her first daughter in an interview with Vogue.
"I just want to say that I respect mothers more than ever now," she said. "I see moms differently, especially the young ones that, like, are so young and barely have experience or money. I don't even know how they can do it."
