Anne Jackson, Secretary, Litchfield Museum and Route 66 Welcome Center

The Litchfield Museum and Route 66 Welcome Center had a booth at the Montgomery County Bicentennial Celebration at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds on Saturday.  We would like to congratulate the organizers on a top notch event!

The hard work put in over the last year really paid off.  There was a wide variety of activities to appeal to all ages.  The mixture of events that were designed for fun, and displays that were designed to remind us of our very interesting history combined to really showcase Montgomery County.  The parking lot remained full, the weather was terrific, the food was delicious, the sun was shining, and those in attendance were full of enthusiasm.  What more could one ask?

Congratulations to the Bicentennial Committee on a job well done!
