Congratulations to these students at Cold Hollow Career Center for winning recognition for their good communication skills.
Jett Sheperd: Automotive Technology Award

Jett has had to stay on top of his communication skills, either by emailing for online work or by calling in to the instructor when needed.
Alexis Reed: Automotive Technology Award

Alexis has become very good at creating customer invoices and helping the other students with the process also. This is a necessary skill, as this is one of the ways to communicate with the customer
Allura DeMatos: Business Leadership Award
--------------------------------------
Allura took her informational interview to the next level. She asked effective questions and used active listening to elicit the information she was looking for, beyond the purpose of the interview. She asked open-ended and follow up questions and stayed present in order to leverage the opportunity.

The team is being recognized for their outstanding skills communicating the mission of The Open Door to stakeholders and the public. They communicate seamlessly, taking audience and purpose into consideration and as a result have been able to effectively promote their endeavor.
Avery Tillotson: Construction technology Award

Avery has really shown good communication when he is going to be absent by emailing or calling in. He has shown great ability to communicate with his classmates during the garage project on the next steps.
Brady Adams: Construction Technology Award

Brady has a great ability to Communicate with his classmates and then turn around and communicate the same information to a person from industry. Also always communicating when he will be absent from class.
Lo Nichols: Digital Media Award

Lo excels at listening to build understanding, asking questions to clarify and give feedback. They are excellent at communicating with peers as well as professionals and because of this skill, they continue to find success in Digital Media.
Lilian Provencher: Digital Media

Lily asks questions to clarify what is expected of her in all assignments and continues to ask until she knows exactly what is expected of her. She is excellent at communicating with professionals and advocating for her needs to move forward and be successful.
Owen Kane: Forestry & Natural Resources

Owen was nominated by his classmates for the communication award. Owen works well with all of his classmates and adults in the building. He is always willing to ask questions and help others who might not understand assignments or tasks.
Holly Raymond: Forestry & Natural Resources Award

Holly is a great listener, who can communicate on many different levels. Holly is the FFA president and uses her communication skills to communicate with large groups during meetings. She is also willing to ask questions when there is something she doesn't understand.
Hannah St Cyr: Medical Careers Exploration Award

Hannah always calls in when she is going to be absent. She always asks for clear confirmation of understanding in the classroom.
