Hold our government accountable
I would like to know what the Lake County state’s attorney’s office and Lake County sheriff’s office are doing to prevent the tragedy in Waukesha from happening here in Waukegan? There are low to no bail policies we have in place that give career criminals chance, after chance, after chance to turn their lives around. But the normal, everyday citizen is the one that ends up in the crosshairs, hurt or killed because of these insane judicial reform policies. The lowlife in the Waukesha tragedy abuses his girlfriend and is out on a $500 bail that day. And he only has to pay 10% of that? Congratulations my lefty friends, this is blood on your hands. What kind of world is this? Someone falling through the cracks is not an excuse. I hope the victims of the tragedy in Waukesha sue Milwaukee County and the judge that let him off on such a low bail. We need to hold our government accountable if they are going to give criminals more rights than the law-abiding citizens.
Biden should libel himself
I am waiting for Joe Biden to announce that the greatest domestic terrorism threat is Black supremacy given the recent terrorist murder of six parade-marchers in Waukesha, Wisconsin. If Biden will libel himself against white people, he should practice equity and libel himself against Black people, too.
Get a life
Wow, somebody really has it in for Waukegan’s public relations people. Has it occurred to you how much it costs to use regular mail to send to tens of thousands of households? You’d complain about the cost, I’m positive. They put signs up about events. Do you not see them? They send automatic phone messages and emails out, if they have your information. Quit slamming people when you have no idea what they do. And no, I don’t work for the city, and only know who those employees are because I see them working in the city. Get a life.
It’s a chasm
The ecological system is thrown off when Venezuelan crocodiles disappear. Could that be why huge rats are in Chicago, because alley cats are gone? Metra jobs being replaced by machines causing more homeless people? It’s not a crack, it’s a chasm.
Hire by ability
Biden should make personnel appointments based on the applicants’ abilities, not their sex and the color of their skin.
Defeatist thinking
I’m calling out the person who thinks it’s a bad idea for the city administration to prioritize improvements of South Side Waukegan infrastructure, — which includes public safety and police presence — to prepare the community for a South Side grocery store. Defeatist thinking like that ensures that nothing can ever change for the better, and ignores what North Chicago was able to achieve. Do you think for a minute that retailers don’t cover the costs in their prices for on-site security personnel, security cameras and shoplifting. The residents of the South Side need the city administration’s support and attention to make this happen. This is not the 1970s. There is once-in-a-lifetime federal infrastructure money available to do this.
