St. Mary’s girls basketball team congratulate Coach Bruce Woitas on his coaching win number 500, on Jan. 26. Woitas told the Herald-Dispatch he looks back at all the players that have played over the years, and commented, “I told the kids after the game, my first year as head coach was 0-19. The whole program has come a long ways over those 33 years. I kind of reflect on all the players that have played in the past . . . Ashley Schieffert, my assistant coach, is part of those 500 wins.
