Across NBA circles, you’d be hard pressed to find a more liked coach on a human level than Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams.

Between his fantastic locker room speech to the Suns and his postgame visit to the Bucks, it’s easy to see why.

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns in Tuesday’s Game 6 of the NBA Finals. And while the disappointment was palpable amongst the Suns, Williams made an extra effort to send his best to the NBA champion Bucks.

Postgame video from the Bucks’ locker-room celebration showed Williams drop by — with an arm around Giannis Antetokounmpo’s shoulder — to personally congratulate the Bucks on the NBA championship.

Here's the video

Williams said:

“I just wanted to come and congratulate you guys as a man and coach. You guys deserved it. I’m thankful for the experience. You guys made me a better coach. You made us a better team. Congratulations.”

Seriously, it doesn’t get classier than that.

Everyone can take notes from Williams on how to handle defeat with grace. That was excellent.
