To the Editor

Congratulations to Alison Plante on being named to the vacant seat on the Board of Education. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Alison on several projects over the past year or so. I know her to be a smart and dedicated public servant who always does her homework and comes to her Board responsibilities prepared with practical approaches to community problems.

I’ve seen her work well with people who view issues differently, and she has a great ability to see past those potential roadblocks to a solution.

Newtown is lucky to have a BOE member of such caliber and temperament and we should all wish her the very best.
